ENSURING COMPLIANCE WITH GUIDELINES

William G. Frank Medical Gas Testing & Consulting verifies new medical gas piping systems and repairs on existing medical gas outlets, to ensure compliance with the guidelines in NFPA 99, most current edition, for patient safety. All of our test equipment — including analyzers, gauges, flow tubes, and monitors — is  calibrated annually with certificates traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

The Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals and Health Care Facilities handbook, paragraph 7.31.E5, states: “The installation, testing, and certification of nonflammable medical gas and air systems shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 99.”
Upon completion of each verification, we provide a detailed report of new systems installed and recommend improvements to the facility's medical gas systems. All reports include copies of field worksheets, listing all findings and recommendations.
