The purpose of an annual inspection is to determine if the medical gas systems function as designed, to suggest areas for performance improvement, and to note what could be upgraded to meet current NFPA 99 criteria to improve patient care and safety.
Per NFPA 99, most current edition, an existing system that is not in strict compliance with the provisions of this standard shall be permitted to be continued in use as long as the authority having jurisdiction has determined that such use does not constitute a distinct hazard to life.
Our report will help satisfy any preventive maintenance requirements from the State Department of Health and Joint Commission.
